interior design consultant Tess

Who we are

Allergic to snooty designers, Tess founded Tess Leeds redesign to help real people with average budgets and messy kids (or pets) have a happy, beautiful home.

Tess drew her first floor plan in 5th grade and has been decorating and redecorating ever since. Ruby Shoes Redesign (the company's original name) began in 2008. It's mission? Provide an affordable design opportunity to those who crave style, comfort and function in their home but can't start from scratch.

Tess wants to help regular people create a vision. After your design lesson,  you'll know what to do and where to shop.

Tess' favorite clients are people who have never worked with a decorator before.

“Money is very tight for me, but hiring Tess was a true investment in my home. It’s a gift that gives each time I walk in my door.
- Joan M., Brookline

Tess grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts and now resides with her husband, Jared Leeds and twin daughters in Newton, MA. Tess studied Residential Interiors at the Boston Architectural College and earned her Interior Refiner certification from Lauri Ward's renowned Use-What-You-Have™ Redesign and Redecorate program in 2008. Most recently, she became a True Colour Expert™ by training with Maria Killam of Maria Killam Colour and Design.

Tess earned Gold Member status in the Interior Redecorator's Network  and served as an active member on the IRN Marketing committee.
